Emily Anne Trask Compson and Richard Ian Trenbeath celebrated their marriage on April 20, 2002 at Historic Baldwin Hall, Maryland. Emily works for NOAA as a systems engineer in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Ian heads up,technology for a public relations firm Xenophon Strategies, in Washington, DC. The couple make their homes in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Atlanta, Georgia.
Emily chose her Amsale gown at Robinson's Bridal in Glen Burnie, Maryland. It was the first gown she tried on, and from that moment there was no question—it was the one. Emily wanted to create an elegant atmosphere for the celebration, which reflected on the style and design of her Amsale. Many details were carefully chosen with the bodice of the gown in mind, from her matching headpiece to the historic hall the reception was held in. Even the wedding cake had Emily's bodice design incorporated into it.
