Marielle DePeters

I met my Husband during a chance encounter while we were both working at the mall while I was a Senior in High School. Knowing that I was leaving for College soon...we tried to keep it casual. Summer came and went and I left for a College that was seven hours away that fall. Brian was already attending a College in our home town of Atlanta, GA so we said our goodbyes. We corresponded casually through the four years I was away, while dating other people. After graduation, I returned home to a random phone call from Brian. Four years later, he asked me out and we began dating (seriously) again...three years after that he proposed! And the rest is history!

The search for my bridal gown began much like other things in my life: I knew exactly what I wanted in my head but finding it in "real life" was a different story! haha! I had already found my Bridesmaid's gowns and my cousin Brooke (a bridesmaid) and her Mom (my Aunt) were in from out of town. I wanted to make sure that Brooke got measured before leaving. We went to Bridals by Lori with no real intentions of looking at Bridal gowns! Randomly, I wanted to go up to the third floor just to take a "sneak peak" for when we came back at a later time with my maid of honor. The elevator doors opened and there was the most beautiful gown I had ever seen right in front of me on a mannequin. We made our way over to the Amsale section, where I completely fell in love with the style of her gowns. I loved that they were classic, traditional but modern at the same time, and feminine. The quality was amazing! I tried on the gown that was "love at first sight"...and then about 10 others just for my sanity. I ended up buying that first dress that I tried on and the best part was that it matched my Mother's veil, which I had decided to wear, perfectly. I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out on our Wedding Day!
