My husband and I were married on August 29, 2004 in a synagogue in Deal New
Jersey. The setting was beautiful, as was the weather and of course the
dress!
After going to a few other salons, my mother and I ended up in Saks in
Manhattan. We saw the gown on the rack and I put it on right away. When I
came out of the dressing room I was already in love with it and my mother
was soon to follow. It was elegant, feminine, classic and I felt like a
princess. I never had a clear picture of what I wanted my dress to look
like, but as soon as I put on that dress the picture was very clear. It was
strapless, had a French bustle in the back and band of beading around the
waste. I had a cathedral veil with a detachable blusher. I carried a
beautiful bouquet of pink roses mixed with white roses and stephanotis. I
wore simple jewelry because the dress seemed to say it all!
We went to one other salon after Saks, and although I tried on some pretty
dresses-I just kept looking for that Amsale at Saks. I had to walk down the
aisle in that dress.
We brought my dad to Saks so he could see it and after he saw it and loved
it, there was no hesitation. We bought it on the spot!
Our wedding was just perfect. Everyone was so happy for us and we were so
happy that we were finally married! As I danced the whole night and circled
the room, I was overwhelmed by the number of compliments on my dress and the
attention my dress was getting. It was truly the hit of the party!
I have never felt as beautiful as I felt on my wedding day. I owe that in
large part to my husband and the rest to Amsale!
