After 6 months, two countries and 100 dresses, I had yet not found my wedding dress. I had lost all my hope of wearing the dress of my dreams on my wedding day. But one Saturday morning I decided to go to Amsale after seeing a dress in a magazine.
From the moment I arrived everyone was really friendly. It didn't take me long to fall in love with a specific dress. However, it had a mermaid shape which I really didn't want, but little did I know that Amsale herself was at the store that day! When she found out about my hesitation, she quickly approached me and said she would order the modification. She personally measured me!
The dress was a gift from my fiancé's parents and when my mother in law saw it on me for the first time at the salon, she cried. I loved the dress so much that I decided to get it even without my mom ever seen it. It was such a gorgeous dress, and it was custom made to my taste. It was the dress of my dreams. I felt like a princess on my wedding day and the compliments would not stop, especially from the groom (my mom loved it too).
We had a fantastic wedding that lasted for 14 hours. Many guests declared that it was the wedding of a lifetime! And the dress was very comfortable throughout. I only wish I could wear it again.
My wonderful husband and I reside happily in New York City and have great memories of our wedding.
