Lawrence and I were married in New York on September 21st, 2002. My husband is a doctor and I organize programs for hospitalized children through Project Sunshine, a national nonprofit organization.

Picking my Amsale dress was one of my favorite parts of preparing for our wedding—I got my dress at the Amsale store in NY and I knew I loved it from the minute I tried it on. I wanted something timeless and classic that was feminine and elegant and that's what I found at Amsale. Also, I knew I wanted a long dramatic veil.

Lawrence and I met on a blind date in September 1996. After drinks and dancing at the Carlyle Hotel lounge, not typically a dancing venue, we both knew something was different. Lawrence says that "we broke all the first date rules" because he called me as soon as he got home that evening to ask me out again. I was also swept away. Later, when we got an English Cocker Spaniel, we named her Carlyle to commemorate the evening of our first date.

Lawrence proposed to me by writing me a song and we were married seven months later at the Metropolitan Club in Manhattan. We had a large wedding party of 18 friends and relatives and a unique Jewish ceremony led by Lawrence's family Rabbi. The night was a magical experience that we will always treasure. We hope that family members or friends in future generations will wear this dress and love it as much as we do!
