I began dress shopping immediately after getting engaged!
After trying on many gowns all over the US, I went to the Amsale boutique on Madison Avenue with my friend Jaime. Before we even walked into Amsale, Jaime mentioned that her sister had said, "I think Haley is going to find her dress today." I said, nah...I'm still just in the "looking" mode, I'm not mentally prepared to make a purchase!
At this point, I knew I was looking for a ballgown with a lower waist and not much detailing, unless it was lace (after trying on 50 or so gowns by many designers, my taste had become pretty specific)! Ha ha.
We walked into the Amsale store and I tried on 5 or so dresses that I adored, then the Amsale sales associate brought out my dress...she said, I saw this in the back and thought you'd love it. I tried it on and the rest is history...it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It was the very last dress I tried on and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I loved every minute of wearing my wedding gown!
