We were married on June 21, 2003 at The Williamsburg Winery in Williamsburg, VA. We first met there 4 years ago, so the location meant a lot to us.
After venturing out to many salons, with mothers and bridesmaids in tow, I thought I had decided on another Amsale gown. However I got mixed responses from my family and friends. On a whim, another friend of mine decided to go to Claire's and try on some gowns (she was getting married as well).
I thought I would never be one of those brides that cried over a gown, but as soon as I put the Amsale Sash dress on, I stood on the podium and began to cry! My girlfriend started crying too! The original dress I tried on was white with a white sash, but at the suggestion of my father, we picked the white gown with an ivory sash.
We were married at the Williamsburg Winery in Williamsburg, Virginia; where my husband I first met in September of 1999. On June 21, 2003, the weather was perfect, the guests were fabulous and the wine flowed. And everywhere I turned, people were marveling at my gorgeous gown.
It's a shame a wedding only lasts for one day, I'd love to be able to wear my Amsale again. And, of course, marry my wonderful husband again!
