After searching unsuccessfully through numerous dress shops in San Antonio, TX and around the Seattle, WA area, my mom and I found ourselves at Marcella's in downtown Seattle. All of the dresses were so beautiful, I had a really good feeling that we would not leave empty handed. I had seen Amsale dresses in several bridal magazines and told Marcella that she was the designer I had in mind. After about 30 dresses, this one was brought out to me. I walked out into the show room and my mom's face just lit up, then she started to cry! Of course, that made me cry too and I knew I'd found my dress.
Matt and I were married on July 20, 2002 in Bellingham, Washington. We had a wonderful time visiting with all of our friends and family the week before the wedding most of whom had traveled quite a distance to be with us. The wedding itself was absolutely perfect. I thought I would cry the entire way through the ceremony but I was so full of happiness and excitement to be marrying the man of my dreams I couldn't take the huge smile off my face. The reception was the most fun. We had a great band, the Motown Cruisers, who rocked until midnight and almost everyone was dancing, having a wonderful time. I received countless compliments on my dress, and I never wanted to take it off! It was a once-in-a-lifetime dress for a once-in-a-lifetime event!
